MANILA, Philippines -- More than two-thirds of the 13,338 nurses from the June 2006 batch, who volunteered to retake Tests III and V, passed the licensure examination conducted two months ago, paving the way for their possible deployment to the United States, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said Monday.

The list of successful examinees may be accessed at www.inquirer.net or the DOLE website.

The results brought closure and a big sense of relief to the 9,198 passers (69 percent of the 13,338) who suffered a stigma after hurdling last year’s licensure exam that was marred by a leak of test questions. A number of hospitals in the country had refused to hire them.
