A lower passing percentage say 20 percent would make our nurses very competent and encourage students to study harder and give pinoy nurses an excellent reputation. We pray that the exams would become harder rather than easier in the future.

It is now very difficult to migrate to the USA. There are very, very few visas available for pinoy rns. The dream of all nurses to work in the USA is already an impossible dream. The best option now is to apply for other countries except the USA. 99.9 percent of our nurses will never be able to work in the USA in their lifetime even if they persist in the futile effort of applying since the competition from fellow pinoy rns is just too much. That is the way of the Pinoy, gaya-gaya puto maya. Everyone is into nursing, so there aren't enough visas for anyone. And the nursing shortage in the USA is over. Parents better stop sending their children to nursing school, unless they want another jobless mouth to feed.

The US economy is now in a slump, the recession is in full swing with no end in sight. Pinoy RNs are better off going to countries except the USA. There's Australia, Canada, NZ and the MidEast. Somehow pinoy RNs will still get jobs elsewhere. If you stay in the RP, it will be very difficult here. Good luck to all.

Pinoy parents, stop sending your high school graduates to nursing school. The market is now supersaturated and your children will not find nursing jobs in the country. And don't think that your nursing license is a sure shot at getting a US immigrant visa. That is impossible in the next ten years. You are wasting your money and setting up your children to become part of the thousands of unemployed nurses here in the RP.

Sadly, it's true, as you can all see, the Sunday newspapers seldom have any advertisements for nurses to be hired in the USA. Like all good things, the US demand for our nurses has dropped down to zero. Nursing is no longer the gold mine that parents expect it to be. Nurses here in the RP are either unemployed or underemployed.
